Having said that, this message normally should not apply when viewing VCR or DVDs especially since you are connected through HDMI & component video. This would be from the cable provider, aerial antenna or satellite receiver. your VCR output to feed two TV sets at the same time, with virtually no signal. Still, the message 'Weak or no Signal' is displayed when the incoming TV signal is below a certain threshold. This has never occurred before with the set. What worries me even more is that I tried my Nintendo which the only way I can play through the TV is through the cable since it has an RF unit and sure enough it did the same thing of no signal. If a cable or satellite set-top box is connected to the VCR using a coaxial cable, then the VCR should normally be set to channel 3 or 4 to receive the signal. Now true, I do have a free slot on Video 4 and could hook up my VCR to play through this way, but I of course should not have to. To resolve this, turn off the VCR or tune it to a receivable channel. Second, I also took a video cable and fed it from the VCR to the VIDEO 2 on the front of my set and sure enough I was able to get a picture from the VCR this way. Played a VHS-C tape (with an adapter) in one of my VCRs and it didnt appear to have anything on it. I first took the cable going into the TV and sent it to a small TV/VCR combo that I have, and it worked perfectly fine on that. I made sure and did some testing and verified that the VCR is in fact working. So, basically I just turn on channel 4 on the TV and press play to watch a tape. I have my VCR set up through the main cable line, so the cable first goes to the VCR and then to the set. The thing is, when I hit the TV/VTR button I got the black screen and no signal message. When I turned the set back on, I wanted to make sure I had everything programmed tonight on the VCR before heading to work. My wife played one of here workout tapes fine and turned everything off.
